The goal of the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage is to create a community focal point for cultural, social and educational programs, as well as retail space, in a complex that is architecturally and historically significant. New and existing retail businesses that complement the center’s emphasis on culture and the arts will be encouraged to locate in the facility. Exhibits that tell the story of famous and historic African Americans — particularly those with regional ties — will have a home here.
