"Wonderful Things" from the Pharoah's Tomb

The African American Heritage Foundation was established in 1994 with a goal to create a community focal point for cultural, social and educational programs, in a complex that is architecturally and historically significant.
On January 18, 2010 Governor Steve Beshear and Mayor Jerry Abramson conducted a public meeting to officially announce and provide ceremonial keys to the newly renovated site that was once the historic Trolley Barn Maintenance Complex to now be The Kentucky Center for African American Heritage (KCAAH).
The KCAAH will officially open its doors to the public March 9, 2010 with its first exhibit, TUTANKHAMUN “Wonderful Things” From The Pharaoh’s Tomb.
The KCAAH is committed to preserving the traditions and accomplishments of the past, and will be a vital, contemporary institution, providing a venue for performances of all types.
Visitors of all ages, incomes and ethnic backgrounds will be invited to explore and celebrate the opulent tapestry of African American life and culture.
