Your Heritage is important to us

One of the goals of the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage is to celebrate the accomplishments and life experiences of African American citizens.

There are many African Americans with current or past ties to Kentucky. This website is a way to record that history, event, or contribution. There has been very little written about many of them, or what was once written has now been forgotten. Please submit an essay, a picture, or a document on our easy to use form.

This index is way to preserve African American Heritage in Kentucky and is open to any notable Afican American with ties to Kentucky.
