Tides of Prosperity
Kentucky's African-Americans began to organize as a community and fight for equality. In a stirring emotional presentation, visitors encounter an interactive timeline of events from the 1890’s to the 1950’s.
Activities here encourage visitors to recognize the everyday struggles and accomplishments of the recent past, illustrates the core role the church played in the black community and demonstrates the courageous acts that brought about the civil rights enjoyed today.
