Duration:
Feb 1 2012 to Feb 29 2012

The KCAAH presents Journeys through the African American Diaspora: A Photographic Retrospective 1979-2011 an exhibit of Aukram Burton's photographic collection. Burton's collections are the result of more than three decades of travel to countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Brazil, Cuba and, of course, the United States. The exhibit challenges the common perceptions about African American.

The exhibit can be seen at the Center's Pavilion Lecture Gallery. Hours of operation are Tuesday - Friday 10 AM - 5 PM; Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Gallery is closed on Monday. The official reception will be held on Friday, February 10 at 5:00 PM. For schools or groups interested in scheduling a gallery talk with Aukram Burton, please contact Catherine Collesano at catherine.collesano@jefferson.kyschools.us or 502-485-7075.
